Editing Images & Other Features of the Media Library

Another feature that users familiar with WordPress may be used to is the Media Library. This feature allows you to keep a stock of photos, video, and audio that you have used or would like to use in your blog.

To view your Media Library, you will log into your blog dashboard and select “Media” from the dashboard menu.  Your Media Library will look similar to this:

To add photos, audio, and video to your library you will select the "Add New" button.

Your library will expand to show a box where you can upload media content either by clicking the “Select Files” button or dragging and dropping photos into the box.

In your Media Library you have the ability to flip, rotate, crop, and resize photos as well as edit the thumbnail settings.

This can be done simply by clicking on the photo you would like to manipulate and clicking the “Edit Image" button, as shown in the screenshot below:

At the top of your Media Library, you will see drop-down menus that allow you to filter through your library to find exactly what you need.  Additionally, to select multiple files at once, you can click Bulk Select.
